Camp Dunamis Health & Wellness Practices and Information

  1. Health records will be obtained for every minor attending camp and for adults with severe allergies or medical conditions.

Attention Parents and Guardians:  Prior to camp, please ensure that a Health Form and Consent to Treat Form are COMPLETELY filled out (two pages), including signatures and insurance information.

  1. No medication is allowed to be stored in the cabin.  All treatment and dispensing of medication will be handled by and recorded by camp nurse.
  2. Any camper or staff member who is not feeling well or is demonstrating symptoms of illness will be closely monitored by the camp nurse.

Attention Parents and Guardians:  If your child has had any illness during the two weeks prior to camp, please inform the camp nurse on or before the first day of camp.  This is simply precautionary since some viruses are still contagious even after the symptoms have subsided.

  1. Proper hand-washing prior to eating, handling food and utensils, and after using the restroom will be stressed and enforced throughout the week.
  2. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout camp.
  3. The dining hall and bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
  4. Staff and campers will be educated on the importance of staying hydrated.
  5. Complimentary water bottles will be distributed to each staff member and camper at the beginning of camp.  Water and Gatorade coolers will be accessible throughout the day for refilling water bottles.
  6. A Lifeguard will be on duty at all times while the pool is in use.  A swim test will be administered by the lifeguard on the first day the pool is open for any camper who wishes to swim in the deep end.
