What is the daily schedule like at Camp Dunamis?

Every day will consist of chapel/worship time, games, food and a lot of fun.

What should my camper bring to camp? - Packing List
  • Warm sleeping bag or sheets and blankets (it can get cold at night)
  • Pillow
  • Pajamas
  • Clothes for five days (it usually is hot during the day and chilly at night)
  • Towel and washcloth for showering
  • Swimsuit (one piece or tankini, please)
  • Extra towel for the pool
  • Personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc.
  • Sunscreen and chap stick
  • Pen or pencil
  • Bible
  • Flashlight
  • Tennis shoes or good walking shoes
  • Extra money, if you wish. There is a camp store, which is open once a day, where kids can buy a Camp Dunamis sweatshirt ($20) and snacks. However, this is optional.

PARENTS, please label all times and remind your young people to be responsible for whatever they bring with them. Kids who bring money, may give it to their counselors for safekeeping.

What should my camper NOT bring to camp?
  • Cell phones or any other electronic devices. These items will be collected and locked up for safe keeping during the week.
  • Clothing that is not modest and appropriate for a church event. For example: No spaghetti straps, crop tops, offensive logos, or underwear showing.
  • Food and candy
How much spending money does my child need?

No money is required.  However, there will be a snack shop that is open daily and camp sweatshirts will be available for purchase.  Please do not send any more than $50.

May I send a cell phone along with my child?

Campers will NOT be allowed phones at camp. Since camp is designed to be a time away from home, this time of separation is important in the growing up process.  If a child brings his/her phone to camp, it will be collected and put into safe storage and returned at the end of the week.

How can I get in contact with camp in case of emergency?

If your local youth pastor is attending camp, you may contact him/her.  Or, in case of emergency, you may contact Mario Perez, one of the directors, at (909) 938-8193.

What are the Health and Wellness Procedures for Camp Dunamis?

The health and safety of campers and staff is of utmost importance to Camp Dunamis. We have a nurse on staff who will handle medications and minor illnesses and injuries. In case of emergency, there is a paramedic station located within a mile of camp.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes! Camp Dunamis believes finances should never be the reason a child stays home from camp! If you need financial assistance, we ask that you first contact your church; many churches delight in helping campers attend Camp Dunamis. If you need additional help, please submit that request when registering.

What is your refund policy?
Cancellations made prior to one week before camp begins will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit.  Registrations are fully transferable from one camper to another, provided space is available.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to the Directors, whose contact information can be found on the “Contact Us” page.
